During your sailing vacation in Croatia, don’t miss visiting the small towns like Kaprija, Zlarin, Primosten or Tribunj. You can stay there for the night with your charteryacht in the marina. Walking through the streets and around the towns, you can see people playing Balote in Dalmatia. Even some restaurants have Balote playgrounds. So stop by and take your time to watch or even try yourself. The people take it very serious and there are lots of discussions which ball is the nearest, who made a throw, that is not allowed and so on. Asking for rules will also provoke discussions. But the one and only major rule is that teams throw their balls as close as possible to the small ball called “Bulin” and you play several sets up to a defined amount of points. And here start the discussion again if it is 11 or 14 or…. So the best is try yourself, play with the locals and enjoy a very special and funny experience during your charter holidays in the beautiful sailing area of Middle Dalmatia.
